The Largest Resource
in The World ....429 Million

Between the United States and Canada there are over 175 million people online. These two countries represent the largest online population.  Probably 75 million of those use AOL. Sweden and Denmark are second  and third. in percentage of people online. Worldwide there are 429 million. In the United States, where 52 percent of the Internet audience was female in June, the time spent online by each gender was quite even: 10.5 hours for men and just over 9 hours for women. Florida ranked 4th in the nation for online spending at approximately 4 billion dollars. 45% of the net population online has an income that exceeds $60K. Another 27% have income over $40K.
In our market area people 50 and older spend four times the amount of time online compared to the the average U.S. time online. Aside from email this population uses it for researching medical information, products and services. We remember a short time ago when you said "Internet" and people looked puzzled.

Last year, 32.6 million visitors arrived in Florida by means other than air travel, including 719,000 Canadians according to Robby Cunningham, a spokesman for Visit Florida, the state's official tourism marketing agency. Our Town 50 has begun a campaign " Operation Invite" to ask residents to invite family and friends to visit this area this winter.
