World Trade Center site through the eyes of Our Town 50 photographer. The feeling inside of people who view it is "void" and "numb". The tragedy is too mammoth for the human mind and heart to comprehend and absorb.
Manhattan skyline as seen before entering the Lincoln Tunnel (taken thru car winshield).
Ed's Cafe & Grill in trendy upper Eastside of Manhattan, across the street from the famous Elaines. |
Robert Moses had a vision for public parks and roadways for Long Island that was visionary. He knew the growth in the NYC suburbs of Long Island would take over the precious public resources if they weren't preserved. He planned and developed Jones Beach State Park with twelve beaches and recreation facilities for millions of people to enjoy saving major coastal lands for the public to enjoy. All of this transpired in 1923.
Thousands of acres of coastline and parks were created by Robert Moses to serve the people of Long Island and the five boroughs of NYC.
